Can you feel the energy? In 2023, Utah adopted an exciting new flag. Other states cursed with dreary flags are now planning on adopting new flags. Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania are leading the charge, but flag buffs across America are eagerly designing new flags for all 50 states.
This page features pictures of all the flags currently representing the 50 U.S. states, along with various flag proposals, most of which are featured in the book Flag Quest: The Search for Respectable State Flags by David W. Blomstrom. All official state flags are in the public domain. All flag proposals are copyrighted, except where noted. However, Mr. Blomstrom has given [name of company] permission to sell flags featuring his designs.
The first flag pictured under each state is the current official flag (e.g. CA for California). Codes with numerals indicate flag proposals (e.g. CA1 for a proposed California flag). A few special flags are also listed, including historic flags (e.g. OK-HIST) and a Massachusetts naval flag. Click “More” under each flag for information on pricing.
Don’t wait for others to make history! Help bury Massachusetts’ racist flag. Help get that dour slave owner removed from Washington State’s ugly dollar-bill flag. Be among the first to fly Utah’s new flag or one of the cool designs representing Montana and Oregon.
What are you waitng for? Just do it!
